A business can measure its growth in many ways.
Revenue. Production. Markets. Products. Countries reached.
But after more than five decades of entrepreneurship, we believe there is another question worth asking:
What difference did we make to the people and places around us?
The Vishnu Namboothiri Group's journey began in 1968, within a community that supported, encouraged and grew alongside us.
As the business expanded, so did our responsibility.
Today, that responsibility goes beyond the products we manufacture or the people we employ. It extends to the communities around us, the environment we share and the generations that will come after us.
For us, Corporate Social Responsibility is not about doing something once and talking about it for years.
It is about being useful where we can.
OUR APPROACH TO CSR
Start With What People Actually Need.
We believe meaningful social responsibility begins by listening. Not every community needs the same kind of support.
Sometimes the need is education. Sometimes it is healthcare. Sometimes a family needs support during a difficult period.
Sometimes young people simply need an opportunity.
And sometimes responsibility means looking inward — at how we use resources, manage waste and make our own operations more sustainable.
Our approach is therefore simple:
Listen. Understand. Contribute. Stay Responsible.

Start with people
Build for a better tomorrow

SUPPORTING EDUCATION
Because Opportunity Often Begins in a Classroom
Education has the ability to change much more than one person's future.
When a child gets the right opportunity, the impact can reach an entire family and sometimes a generation. Through our CSR initiatives, we aim to support educational opportunities and learning environments wherever our involvement can create meaningful value.
This may include verified activities such as:
- Student Support
- Scholarships
- School Infrastructure
- Learning Materials
- Digital Education
- Career Guidance
- Skill Development
A little support at the right time can change the direction of a life.
CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITIES
The Community Around Us Has Always Been Part of Our Story.
Businesses don't grow in isolation.
Behind every organisation are employees, families, suppliers, neighbours and communities who become part of its journey.
That is why community wellbeing remains an important part of how we think about responsibility.
Our community initiatives focus on areas where timely support can make a genuine difference. Instead of simply publishing the amount contributed, we want this section to tell the stories behind the initiatives.
Who needed support?
What did we do?
And what changed because of it?
Those are the numbers that matter to us.

FOOD & WELLBEING
Food Has Always Been at the Heart of What We Do
For decades, our business has been connected with food.
That naturally gives us a particular responsibility towards nourishment and wellbeing.
Where appropriate, our CSR efforts can use our experience, resources and network to support people during times when access to food becomes especially important.
Because sometimes responsibility doesn't require a complicated programme.
Sometimes it begins with making sure somebody has a meal.
STANDING TOGETHER WHEN IT MATTERS
Some Moments Don't Wait for a CSR Calendar
Floods, Natural disasters, Unexpected hardship, Community emergencies.
There are situations where people need help immediately rather than after a committee meeting.
Wherever possible, we believe organisations should be prepared to stand with their communities during those moments.
These may not always be the initiatives we planned.
But they can become some of the ones that matter most.

OUR PEOPLE. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
CSR Begins Inside the Organisation Too
Social responsibility cannot only be about what happens outside the company.
The people who come to work with us every day are part of our responsibility as well.
We want to create a workplace where people can work with dignity, safety, respect and opportunity.
That means continuing to focus on areas such as:
- Employee Safety
- Workplace Hygiene
- Learning & Skill Development
- Equal Opportunity
- Employee Wellbeing
- Respectful Working Conditions
- Professional Growth
Because an organisation cannot talk meaningfully about caring for society without first caring about the people who help build it.
WOMEN & OPPORTUNITY
A Connection That Goes Back to Our Early Years
There is something particularly meaningful in the history of our Group.
When Brahmins Foods began operations in 1987, the founder started with a small unit beside his residence and a team that included two women employees.
From those modest beginnings to today's manufacturing operations, people have always been at the centre of the journey.
As we move forward, we want to continue creating opportunities where people can learn, contribute, become financially independent and grow with the organisation.
This section can become especially powerful when supported by real employee stories rather than corporate statistics alone.

OUR PEOPLE. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibility Towards the Environment
The Future Has to Be Part of Today's Decisions.
Manufacturing uses resources. We recognise that. So environmental responsibility cannot sit separately from the way a modern manufacturing company operates.
Our objective is to continuously look for practical ways to improve how resources are used across our operations.
Depending on VNG's verified initiatives, this section should document areas such as:
- Energy Efficiency
- Water Conservation
- Waste Management
- Responsible Packaging
- Recycling
- Renewable Energy
- Responsible Sourcing
- Reduction of Food & Production Waste
We don't want to make sustainability claims simply because they sound good.
We would rather show what we are actually doing — and keep improving it.
SMALL ACTIONS. REAL PEOPLE.
Behind Every CSR Number Is Someone's Story
CSR reports often talk in numbers.
₹X
contributed
X
beneficiaries
X
programmes conducted
Those numbers are important. But they don't tell the whole story. Behind every number is a person.
A student who continued their education.
A family that received support at the right time.
A community that received help during a difficult period.
An employee who found an opportunity.
A resource that was saved rather than wasted.
Where possible, we want our CSR story to be told through real people, real photographs and real outcomes.
Because impact becomes meaningful when we remember who it was for.
